Memorial Day Prayer

Dear Lord and Father of All Mankind, we thank you for this beautiful and free land that you have so graciously blessed us with to enjoy unbounded freedoms, with the paramount freedom to worship your Holy and Magnificent Name.

We thank you for the brave men of this land, who through peril, the sword, wars, famine, and insurmountable odds, have carried freedom to the oppressed, freed the helpless, and blessed the world with the gift of freedom and equality that You have burned into our souls.

We thank you that through the years of our land, the ranks have continually filled with the flower of manhood and honor of this land to meet the call of duty and love of this great nation. Countless legions of our brave have marched away to fight, and with their last feeble breath paid the ultimate sacrifice for their loved ones, their neighbors, and those whom they had never seen or met.

We thank you for Your protection through the forces of America, and we thank You for their sacrifices and courage that have enabled us to live in this wonderful free land surrounded by luxury and security.

Lord Father, thank you especially for our fellow brothers in Christ who have marched into the fray carrying the witness of their testimony to Your grace, protection and matchless love. We thank you Lord for every one, and pray Your mighty hands of protection will be with those who are still struggling in the fields of horror and battle. We pray that You will strengthen them with Your mighty hands, carry them through their battles unscathed and safe. Protect them Lord, in your Holy Name.

Thank you for our freedoms Father, and Your mercy to our nation. Thank you for our brave men and women who still fight America's battles and keep us safe at home. Thank you Lord, for the Armed Forces of the United States of America.

Thank you Father, for America.

Amen.
